The Ineffable, The Inscrutable with Kathy Gillis

A simple table with a display of organic matter organised in a Fibonacci numerical squence, the floor beneath it covered in a collection of precious objects placed by my daughter, Anna. This seminal work was inspired by the fascination of a fellow worker and friend, Neil Baksh, on seeing my "drawing table" completely covered in my treasures from the kitchen, forest and garden. The familiar and curious collection was meant to encourage a reengagement with the tactile experience of life.
